I first met Jac Vidgen at the very first RAT Party. We remained in loose contact over the centuries. I was, however, when I moved to Singapore in 2012 that we really re-connected. I saw Jac a number of times when he was passing through Singapore, either on one of his trips in South East Asia, or homeward bound to Manila. I know that he dearly loved his Manila family, and his apartment there - so many photos - so many memories. In 2015 I became extremely ill, which forced me to return to Australia. I had to start again. Jac stayed in contact with me, giving me great advice about healing myself, as well as encouraging me to re-invent myself artistically as a photographer. He was a source of great strength and inspiration. I am devastated that he has gone. I will remember him as a great, loyal, kind, generous, and beautiful friend and mentor. Bless you Jac.
