One of the interesting things about Jac was that I became a competitor to him in the dance party space in 1988 with my Fun / 2000AD parties during 1988 / 1989 and 1990. But one of the great things that he didn't see it as competition, he saw it as adding to the world! We always stayed friends and talked, not fraught. He often had me play at his parties which super nice given the circumstances. 

I loved that Jac was always inclusive of everyone (including straight people like me) in the often gay creative world. It's also a lesson that everyone needs to remember, doesn't matter what you are, it matters what you do.
